Gaby Alter

Music & Lyrics

GABY ALTER is the recipient of a Jonathan Larson Grant, the San Diego and San Francisco Critics' Circle Awards for Best Original Score, an ASCAP Plus Award in Musical Theater, and the ASCAP Composer's Spotlight at the LA Film Festival. His musical NOBODY LOVES YOU, with playwright Itamar Moses, premiered at The Old Globe Theater in San Diego and had its Off-Broadway premiere at Second Stage Theater, where it was both a New York Times and Timeout New York Critics' Pick. Gaby and Itamar wrote the song The Frigate That Flies for the Disney animated feature film TINKERBELL AND THE PIRATE FAIRY, sung by Tom Hiddleston. Other stage musicals include BAND GEEKS which premiered at Goodspeed Musicals, is now licensed by Music Theatre International and features Gaby's hit audition song Lost In The Brass. Songs for the revue STARS OF DAVID (Daryl Roth Productions) also featuring original songs by Jeanine Tesori, Marvin Hamlisch, Tom Kitt, Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater, was produced Off-Broadway at DR2 Theater and toured nationally. In addition, Gaby has written songs and soundtracks for PBS Kids TV, NPR, and MTV; scored the film 3RD STREET BLACKOUT (MarVista) starring Janeane Garofalo and John Hodgman, which premiered at the LA Film Festival; and co-wrote the soundtrack to and starred in the documentary NERDCORE RISING (Vaguely Qualified Productions) which premiered at South by Southwest. He has also co-written tracks with Nerdcore rapper MC Frontalot which have over 2 million views on YouTube.

He is an alumnus of NYU's Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program and an ASCAP member.

Josh Billig

Book

JOSH BILLIG is an internationally produced playwright and screenwriter. His plays have been included as finalists for The O’Neill Playwrights Conference, WordBridge Playwrights Lab, The Princess Grace Fellowship, The Smith Playwriting Prize, and his play OUTSIDE SIKA was the recipient of the Tennessee Williams Festival Playwriting Award. He is also the creator of the TV series DRAMAWORLD airing on Netflix and Viki.com. Josh received his MFA from NYU Tisch.

DAVID RUTTURA’S Broadway credits include Associate Director for Beautiful, Network, School of Rock, Spider-man, Follies, and Lombardi. Off-Broadway, David directed Chick Flick at the Westside Theater. Other directing credits include Footloose (Norwegian Cruise Line), Memphis (Gateway Playhouse), Million Dollar Quartet (Pittsburgh CLO), Priscilla: Queen of the Desert (Ogunquit Playhouse), White Christmas (Gateway Playhouse), Hot Mess in Manhattan (Araca Project), Electra in a One-Piece (Good Company/The Wild Project), and He Who Laughs: Live by Isaac Oliver (Ars Nova).

Additional Associate Directing credits include The Phantom of the Opera, (Tour), Farragut North (Atlantic Theater Co.), The Marriage of Bette and Boo (Roundabout), Hey, Look Me Over, The Wiz, Fanny (Encores!), Ben Hur Live! Patrick O’Neill

Choreographer

PATRICK was last represented on Broadway as the Associate Choreographer of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s hit musical School of Rock, which he also staged in Sydney, Melbourne, and Seoul. He currently serves as the Associate Choreographer on the Broadway bound musical The Heart of Rock and Roll celebrating the music of Huey Lewis, and on Ever After, a musical adaptation of the 1998 film. 

As an Assistant Choreographer, he helped develop Barry Manilow’s Harmony for Center Theatre Group and The Alliance Theatre, The Nutty Professor with Jerry Lewis and Marvin Hamlisch, and the Broadway revival of On A Clear Day You Can See Forever starring Harry Connick, Jr.
